OTHER NOTES: The Brown Mountain fault serves as a link between the Panamint Valley fault zone and the Garlock fault zone. The connection between the Panamint Valley fault zone and the Brown Mountain fault is a complex compressional left-step. This fault lies in a very remote region; the nearest towns are over 30 km away from any part of the fault.
