WHAT IS STP?
"STP" is a client side program for retrieving waveform data for
seismic events from the Southern California Earthquake Data
Center. This program can be used via this WWW graphical interface
or as a standalone program running on the users local computer.

GRAPHICAL INTERFACE TO STP PROGRAM
In order to use this graphical interface to STP, please
enter your full name in the following format (first.last)
in the box below and click the START button to begin using STP!
Waveforms retrieved via this graphical interface to stp can be
downloaded from the anonymous ftp site. This can be done
from the interactive page itself, or by manually running ftp and
retrieving the data from pub/stpdata/"username" on scec.gps.caltech.edu.
NOTE: Waveform files will be deleted from the ftp site 24 hours after
they have been retrieved.

STANDALONE VERSION OF STP PROGRAM
The program can be run standalone on the user's local
computer by downloading the software from our product download page,
Users who use the standalone version of the software can
retrieve the waveforms directly to their local machine.
