    (This was the same earthquake as Event #4 in Activity #3: Locating Earthquakes. That means that if you've worked through each of these activities, you've found the origin time, epicenter, and magnitude of this earthquake -- all the details you hear in a typical earthquake report!)

    (This event -- the Calico earthquake -- was also one of the examples in Activity #3.)

Answers may vary, depending upon variations in printing, but we found the Richter magnitude of this earthquake to be somewhere between M 3.5 and 3.6 (we prefer a value of M 3.6).
